I was looking at my stove today and noticed a cover plate at the underside my stove behind the ash lip. It's attached by 2 screws. I took it off and it looks like it will get you access to the air control level but wondering if it help get more air into the firebox when removed. The manual talks about boost air and room air coming in from the bottom. There is a larger hole toward the back on the bottom but this looks like where you would hook up the outside air adapter.
Has anyone ever seen this before? Should it be removed or intact?
This is the leg model of the true north tn20. I attached a pic but it's pretty bad.
Thanks!
