I recently purchased a used whitfield quest wp4 pellet stove insert from a family member that I am getting installed next week. Everything looks like its in decent good shape, except the control board is a bit worn and is missing the knob for the damper control.

I've looked around online, and it seems everywhere online that seems replacement control boards don't include the damper control, its just an empty hole...plus, as far as I know the control board works, just one of the buttons is worn, so not sure its worth the $300-400 for a new control board.

Does anyone know where I could buy a replacement knob? or at least something that would fit?

the model number off of the unit is WH-Q09360

Thanks

An electronics supply store would have an assortment of nobs to choose from.

my knob cracked in half a year after i bought it, the rod doesn't get hot and you really don't need to be adjusting the damper anyway, set it and forget it

if the rod is knurled at the end, you are looking for a potentiometer knob, if "D" shaped, a rotary switch knob is what you need. If threaded, a "threaded (round) ball knob" applies. If you can post a close-up pick of the rod end, and of the broken / existing knob, maybe able to help.

That's a common knob if I am looking at the picture at the damper control shaft.
Welcome to the site. As Pellet king stated the Whit wont need the damper to be played with once it is set.

But if you want one, try Mountain View Hearth Products at stove-parts-unlimited.com.

Hello
MountainView does not have it.
I just got a brand new Quest Control Panel from Whitfield and that only comes with the pellet feed knob. In my pics below the brass ring that holds the OEM knob comes off by loosening the set screw. The shaft is a standard 1/4" with a flat spot so a common knob like Bioburner suggested should work fine if not better. :)

Radio Shack has those types of knobs

Looks like the control panel membrane has been ripped of your "Auger On" button and the brass ring on the damper shaft is missing?
