In The Woods
Our neighbor likes to take a ride every year (we missed last year) in the boat so he can see all the changes going on, top speed was about seven mph so it took us two hours, it was a great night for it.

I took a picture of these motorized kayaks, they were moving right along.

What lake is that?

Motorized kayaks . . . somehow this just seems wrong.

(broken link removed) Higley flow which is the Raquette River, very nice in the fall and spring once all the campers head home. It's not very big so when it gets busy (it can be dangerous) we go to Carry Falls or another spot.

Cool pics. I love it when the weekenders clear out. I can get out on the big river and have the whole darn place to myself.

We will get another trip in before the weekend, maybe have lunch or supper on the water.

Nice pics Zap. Looks like one hell of a straight away for a snowmobile in the winter.

iskiatomic, fast current in pic # 5865, they generate for power so it rarely freezes at that end plus the levels are so up and down, ask the ice fisherman that drilled a hole and saw nothing but started to hear cracking real quick.

Not really a big fan of riding on ice in the winter myself . . .

It always worries me when an address is "cold brook drive"
especially in upstate NY.

The last couple of winters have been mild especially last year, we usually get one or two weeks that drop to -10 or -20. The name Cold Brook comes from the brook that runs through our property.
