Hi to all of you pros!! What do you recomend for going through a sheetrock wall to hook into an existing chimney? Last year we went straight into the chimney. This year we put sheetrock on the wall to make it look nicer. Now we aren't sure what to use to to run into the chimney now that we have sheetrock up. It has a tile or ceramic thimble or liner at the opening is 8". Thanks, Donna

you need to bring the connector pipe that your using the proper clearance from the dry wall. You need to maintain a 6" clearance with doube wall connector pipe, or 18" with single wall. You will need to cut back the dry wall to maintain these clerances and install something non combustable in its place.
