hello all,
I am a newbie to this site, and a 3 stove owner over the last 8 years(1 harman, 1 us,1 lopi). currentlly have a USS 6039, and have been getting a err 2 message for quit some time. the way the stove would run and get the message would be, get flame going, 20-30 minutes, (not produce good heat) and then the stove would shut off. i have called support 9 times and yes the did answer me. i am a clean freak and clean the stove when it runs normally bi weekly. support stated to me that the stove is dirty, and had me run all the test on circuit borads etc. the out come was #1 the stove is dirty, #2 the low pressure switch is bad. i conducted the test on the low pressure switch,(bypassing with auto fuse) and the stove runs like a top. called support to order new low pressure switch, told them what i had done to the stove, and they stated that while bypassing the switch and the stove worked well doesnt mean that the switch is bad.... so now i am confused as hell and need some advice. at this current time, swtich is by passed and runs awesome.. fyi stove is 2009 and only burned less than 8 tons through it please advice

Sounds like a bad vacuum swich to me...unless you have a plug in your venting or somewhere else in your system.

Sounds like its probably bad but you might want to check your door gasket and ash slides or ash pan gasket if your stove has them. Could maybe be causing low vacuum that's not quite pulling the switch in. You can use a dollar bill to check your door gasket. The 'Dollar Bill' test is pretty well documented in posts on this forum.

door gasket replaced last week, how do i upload a photo??

I would suggest that you not run the stove with the switch jumpered. It is a safety item. In case it's not defective, you don't have sufficient vacuum for safe operation of your stove. These vacuum switches rarely fail.

If these switches raley fail, and i have diassembled and cleaned all parts of stove 6 times. what else could it be???

Combustion motor getting weak? Do you have an OAK? Could be negative pressure in the house.
You mentioned cleaning the stove - how about the venting and the cap?

wish i would have found this site 2 weeks ago. this morning i conducted some type of leaf blower trick. stihl br 600 back pack blower, blew through the air intake and blew all the debris out through the exhaust, stove has been running good for 4 hours as of know, hope it stays that way. question, like i stated i have a new low pressure switch currentlly in the mail, do i send i back or just keep it???? thoughts

Well normally the LBT is done using the vacuum mode on the exhaust side, but some folks have done it that way.

One party who shall remain nameless managed to get ash all over the place.

He was in the dog house for a, no wait he is still in the doghouse.
