Feeling the Heat

I'm having issues with unburnt pellets in the bowl. It's been clogging up lately and not giving the heat it should. No fault lights. This is between the auger end and the front. Cleaned it out 3 days ago and has been running okay, but I checked this morning and found unburnt pellets in the pile on ashes. Am I losing my mind or is this normal? Also it's pushing burnt pellets over the pile of unburnt to the front of the pot and finishing combustion there.

What are your settings

6 and feed rate 3. This a continuation of the previous posts. I decided to start a new one. I've turned it down to 5 too see if it starts jamming up, seeing as it's warm enough today.

What brand of pellets are you using if you don't mind my asking?

Eastern Embers. Get them right down the street at Homehardware.
That's what I've been using too since it was new back in Feb. This year I got two pallets delivered (70 x 2 bags). I really like them. This batch seems to have more dark ones. I think the extruder was not working 100%. I get them at Home Depot, but Home Hardware have them too. From what I understand they are made near the airport in NS.

What was the correction?

No idea. Same pellets, nothing's changed. tonights the big test. 6f now dropping to -6 tonight. 🥶
Ya it's cold here, not including wind chill, -15C. -25C with wind chill. The good news it's going to warm up by the 7th. Till then we will burn many bags of pellets.

Did you clean out under the burnpot?

Just to make it difficult, had a 2 hour power outage this morning. Hit -3f this morning and the back up did come on. That sort of jammed the stove up, but it's working okay now. But it's an indication of what the problem may be. It's amazing how quick a house can cool off at these temps. 🥶

Well it is jamming up. No ideas. Other then when it gets shut down for a power failure. It can't get the pellets at the back to burn. I didn't clean it out before restarting it Cuse I needed heat. I'm going to let it run as is, until Tuesday when the weather's going to be alot warmer clean it out under the bowl also. Only thing left is lack of air flow. Although it's been running great for days.

It's suppose to warm up later this coming week. Have you ever taken the burn pot off? I had some plugged holes I could see along the front edge, and cleaned them out but it's hard to see further down. I wonder if some people unbolt it and take it out? My flame right now is so intense (feed of 4) and calling for full heat, that there is no way any pellets arenot getting burned. It's just pushing out pure ash. The edge gets filled up so sometimes I knock it off with the scraper. I have been shutting down for am hour each day for cleaning but I know the room temperature is going to drop 10F if I do it today.

Taking it off is unnecessary, get a drill bit the size of an open hole and by hand clean each hole, I do this once a month with it, stove unplugged

I run a scraper, then a brush and then a vacuum cleaner. Haven't cleaned under the pot since I got it. But not until it warms up. It's been getting the flame it should until this morning. It's slowly starting to suck from both ends of the pellet pile, which is the way it has been since I started it. So we'll see what happens as the day goes on.

I know what you mean, and Harman include an allen key but I can't see past the first couple of rows. Maybe I need a mechanic's mirror
