Guys need some help. Been burning for about 24 hours now and the fans just decided to shut off. I understand the thermostat in this thing but the fans don't shut down until well after thiings have called down. Fireplace is hovering arou d 550 right now...
Is there a rest switch or something.... electrics fine, I checked circuit and other connected outlets.....
Starting to get worried

If there is power (and neutral) right to the blower motor then it sounds like it may have "left the building"
Can you setup a fan to blow into the blower area (with blower removed?) to get some circulation (assuming this is an insert stove)
FYI, 550* is nothing to be concerned about at all...if you hit 750, you're getting closer, 850 is solidly in the "oh crap!" region...

Close call. It kicked back on.... they gotta do something about the thermos in these things... some days it decides it want to get up to 650 to start

Ash buildup on mine insulates the snap stat.

Good point...my 1400i does the same thing...I can't stand that switch...I ended up wiring it up with an on/off switch...

Yes they can be pesky although the Jotul setup is pretty good. Has auto, manual and off with fully variable speed to the fans. It does stay on too long after burning down for my taste though.

To the OP you can move the ash out of the way to get it to come on quicker but as brenndatomu said it doesn't sound like you were ever in the danger zone.

Well guys. It's happened a few times today already. I think there is an issue with the OAK pulling in -1 degree air.
Probably not helping...

I can't tell you how many times I have cussed the FP30 fan thermo. It's good for nothing and I wanted to remove it from day one with the unit. Maybe this summer it will happen.

550 is nothing, I have waited for 750 for it to kick on. Variable speed helps, always turn it to low on cold start ups for about 30 minutes.

If I wanted to remove the Thermo from the equation and use the variable speed switch.... I could just cut the two wires going to the thermo and connect them right? I've done some wiring of outlets and stuff but I'm no expert. Want to do this before I close things up and start the stone.
