It's a cat stove, missing the catalytic convertor. Ashful can give you a complete rundown.

I thought the F600 was a non cat stove?

This was bought in 2000 or so according to the original owner/seller

glad i asked here before making any decisions as i was looking in there like "ummmm something is not right"?

so when i looked in the front and saw all the way out the back that was because the bypass door was open correct?

in use i would open that to get the fire going and then once running i close the door to activate the cat and it will run 6hr or so?
