Hi all. First time posting here. I was given a Jotul 8 wood burning with a catalytic combustor. I have two questions. 1. Can this stove run without the combustor? 2. Is there any information available as how to replace the combustor. I took the whole stove apart had it sandblasted and painted got most of it back together but forgot to take pics. Only thing left is the combustor. Thanks.

Which model 8 is this, 8C with the cat at the flue collar or 8TDC with the internal cat? The model number should be on the rear UL tag.
