I am looking to sell my wood boiler. I dont really know what to ask for it. I live in upstate NY. Here is a link to someone selling the model I have. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated. It is 3 seasons old.

I'm not quite sure what make/model of boiler you are trying to sell.

FYI - I sold my 2 year old EKO 40 last year for $4,500.00 which also included a Danfoss valve and circulator.

I know of another person who is wanting to sell his 2008 EKO40 this spirng and I told him the same information. He was suprised that I sold it for $4,500 as he was thing of selling his boiler for 3-4K.

Typical for an OWB is about $2000 to $2500 for a decent newer one. Yours might go for 3 if in really nice shape. Consider putting it on Craigslist & the For Sale forum here. Good luck, Randy BTW, I would get it on Craigslist fast, the season is winding down

The climate for OWBs in NY isn't getting any better either. Sell it while you can.

It's worth as much as you can get someone to pay. I'd guess you can get someone to pay 2,500 - 3,500 maybe start at 4,000

I used to go to farm auctions regularly. My favorite line by the auctioneer " the more you pay, the more it's worth"
My rule of thumb... I wouldn't pay more than 60% of the new with warranty price. Good luck & I hope you get what you want.

Late summer to early fall is probably a better window. It would be hard to buy now and install.

Last year I sold a 10 year old Taylor 450 OWB and 130' of wrapped pipe for $2000. It helped off set some of my upgrade costs to the Econoburn.
