Have an opportunity to buy an 046 with a 25" bar in allegedly like new conditon, very few hours. Askling price is $650. Is this realistic?

My 034 w/20" bar is handling most of what I ask of it, but there have been some big logs that have taxed it's power when the bar is buried deep. I don't really have the $$ for the 046, but if it is screaming deal, I might find the $$.

When did Stihl switch from the 0XX to the XX0 nomenclature?

If it is like new thats a pretty good deal not mine blowing but not bad!

Thanks for the feedback. I will probably have to pass on it due to lack of $$, but I would like to get something a bit bigger than my 034 for some of the larger logs I am getting.

If that saw is like new it would be hard to find a better saw IMO than a 046 http://cgi.ebay.com/stihl-046-magnum-chainsaw_W0QQitemZ280330871786QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item280330871786&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72:1495|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318|301:0|293:1|294:50
