VC Montpelier

hey forum vw_eric here,
well my question is i have a montpelier insert and my fan shorted out my son saw sparks ,
wires melted and something grounded out so blower no longer works.
i replace blower with new oem blower and i have a nice fire going for about 2 hrs now big flame nice heat.
So now im scratching my head as to why my blower hasnt kicked in , am i missing something ????

The thermodisk (snap disk) controls when the blower comes on. It may be defective due to the short. Was it replaced?

to answer your question , no it wasnt replaced and i didnt know it was needed to replace.
anyway the thermo disk you talk about ? is it this? 30004406 Snapstat Wire Hrnss Montpelier
i dont see the disk .

sorry forgot to ask can the RHEOSTAT go bad ?
