hey gang , one of my co-workers has a VC ventfree stove , i do not know the model yet has an odd issue that has just started

new installation , not a replace of existing unit , so completely new plumbing and stove
the unit "rumbles" when its started up, she can cut it off and relight it and it sems normal, then after a short time rumbles start again. unit ran for a couple weeks with no issues just started doing this 2 days ago.

any ideas?????

You don't say which fuel type she has, so I'll go out on a limb & take a guess...
Sounds like she's getting the LP jet burner syndrome.
She probably has ignition at the air shutter, because of a misalignment
between the burner orifice & the burner tube.
That allows some of the LP to get out of the burner tube & into the cavity
underneath the burner, thru the air shutter.
LP is heavier than air, so it'll puddle down there until it builds up enuff
to ignite from the pilot flame.
It'll roar like a jet engine...
This happens when stoves get shipped & jostled around, & should've
been checked prior to install.
