Question:

We are interested in having vent-free gas logs installed in our home. We have a very old house (1928). The dimensions of the fireplace are H28" x W21" x D10". My concern is the woodwork around the fireplace.

Answer:

The specs are too shallow for most units that I know of. One solution might be to install a small vent free heater into the fireplace.

There is a company on the web who are experts in these old and small fireplaces....try http://www.thevictorianfireplace.com
