Hello All...

Are there any known issues with running vented gas logs in a heatform fireplace?

The original owners of this property did have propane logs installed, but the previous tenant did not. The heatform appears to be in good condition, not rusted through, firebox looks to be in good shape.

Much of the existing propane pipe is still in place, but it appears that the original owners were using a flexible propane hose, it came up through the plate in the floor of the FP. See below pics (please ignore the bricks in the chimney clean out, those will be removed).

I'm going to engage with a local company about installing a set of vented gas logs, just curious if anyone else is running this setup and how it has worked for them? Any gotchas I need to be aware of?

Best...
