Venting Caulk

I need to add some high heat caulk to my pipe that goes straight out the wall. It's a little leaky as far as cold on one side. I do have some black silicone that is good up to 450 degrees, is this good enough for heat or do I need a higher rated temp caulk ? Ty..

Should be yup
IMHO higher temp silicone is always better, however I can comfortably put my hand on my venting about a foot away from the stove

I looked it up, it adheres to itself so its not sticky correct?

Correct and it will come off when you need to remove it

Yep, as mentioned it sticks to itself, you stretch it out and apply it over the pipe joints. I had a small leak on one and it fixed that and I went ahead and did it on the other joints inside. Not bothering with the joints outside. I did however use high temp rtv for the adapter coupling.
