Hello all! I am looking to install a gas fireplace on an interior wall in my home. I understand that gas fireplaces can be vented straight up through the roof or out the side of the house. Going through my roof is not an option as the piping would run through the middle of a bedroom.
The other side of the wall that I would like to install my fireplace on is the back wall of my garage. Is it possible to vent through the wall, into the garage, and then bend the pipe at about 90 degrees to run along the wall and out the side of the house/garage? To make it more clear, the pipe would be exposed along the back wall of my garage and then exit the side of the house.
Thank you for your help.
