Hello,

I've just moved house and along with the house we have this lovely Victorian Range (shown here burning wood, but typically we are going to be using coalite on it):-

[Hearth.com] Victorian Coal Range

I was wondering if any one else has a similar range, and has any resources for reading up on maintenance, cleaning and so on? Particularly with regards to the soot doors, and the little trays above them; do these need to be cleaned out periodically?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Matthew

If the gasses go down around the oven it is an old design and should be very similar to any other cookstove of that type. So the available instructions from other models should be of value to to you and indicate what needs to be cleaned and how to clean it
