wall switch requirements for heat and glo model sl 550be-ipi-b. The flame was going out intermittently, had a tec come out who replaced the pilot ignittor. However I am having the same problem. He said to replace the wall switch if it did not work.

he's right, replace the switch you're dealing with a millivolt system any resistance in the circuit will cause the fireplace to operate intermittently. Clean the wire connections or cut back to new wire use lithium grease to prevent corrosion in the future

I replaced the wall switch but still have the same problem.
