Hi folks,
I have a question regarding the wall thimble for my 25 pdvc.im wondering do I need to seal it with the rtv sealer or is regular clear silicone ok for this? Also the rtv sealer I have is rated at 425 degrees is this ok for the stove pipe joints or should I get a higher degree?

Regular silicone caulk is fine for sealing the wall thimble to the wall and outside of house, against the elements. The rtv temp is fine, but rtv is a real bugger to get pipes back apart if need be. I would recommend a high temp silicone. You can find it rated for 500 degrees. kap
