He's a furson and far more intelligent than a person, after all he doesn't have to tend the stove and work for his meals.

Our two cats are constantly in front of the stove, unless it's sleep time and we have the electric blanket on. Then they are on our bed. However, we aren't using the electric blanket much lately due to the warmer house from having the stove as well as the mild winter.

For whatever it's worth: My friend had a Harman P38, I have it now. When he removed it, the hardwood floor underneath the pad (like your's), turned a dark orange. The rest of his floor has a light yellowish wood tone to it. I have that stove now sitting on a tile pad. I noticed you have very nice floors and I'm sure you would not like that to happen.

Thanks for the concern about the floor.....The Accentra will be in the same spot as long as parts are available to rebuild it! ;-P Hopefully for 20years!

i have some gaps that appeared in my hardwood flooring in front of the stove.Anyone else notice it? i imagine they will swell back to normal when the stove isnt in use

Wood shrinks and swells seasonally.....my gaps appear in winter and close up pretty nicely in summer, no worries!

My cat sleeps 24/7 as close to the stove as he can; he gets annoyed when I have to fill the stove.

one of the girls is scared to death of the stove, and the other sleeps about 10 feet away where the hot air can bath, amd ruffle her.
