Evidently yes. The northern hemisphere is a dirty place. Ice and snow are getting soiled with soot that darkens its surface and thus accelerates its melting. Here is another visualization of the annual increase in CO2 levels since 1979 as read at Mauna Loa observatory. let it play on and it goes back 800,000 years. When seen graphically like this it deflates the notion that the current state of affairs is a natural earth cycle.
