Our weather hasn't been bad, hasn't been good. Consistently cold with highs around 20-25 and lows around 10. I am a cycle burn type dude where I fire up full loads let it burn down to coal stage with the stove cooling off to 350-400 and load it up again, repeat. I have it down to basically a science where the house temp doesn't vary much from 71F. I was home bound (in the house) more this weekend than normal and a bit more attentive of the stove and must have gotten a little excited with the stove loads.

The 22 yr old daughter proclaims "It's like a sauna in here". I didn't see that one coming. She is NEVER warm. 78F - too hot for me, but what the heck, I was going outside anyhow. I just smiled and walked away.

Sounds like a good temperature to me!

Nice, I love the reactions I get sometimes. Especially when it is cold (for us 17-20) outside. Oh it sure is hot in here (70-80). As we sit on the couch in shorts and T shirts. Not hot to me, just right!

Oh, I am my own personal furnace. Yesterday was 15F for most of the day with a breeze. I had my Carhart, hooded sweatshirt on and was warm. 78F in the house is like standing behind a turn and burn F14 for me. Way too hot. If I am calm and docile, the 71F feels just right, but even at that temp, if I am up and moving around, I am on the verge of busting a sweat. (I'm a bit physically hyper to begin with)

Lately the best reaction is when my wife walks out of the house without a jacket on forgetting that it is cold outside. She'll run in exclaiming "Crap, i forgot it's cold outside!"

First year that's happened.

Jags, Im the same way. I'll be outside snowblowing in my shorts, sneakers and a t shirt and getting funny remarks from the neighbors. Not today though. Today is one of those real cold days. My family swear that the males all have built in furnaces.
