I have a Harman Accentra insert that was bought in 2010. I just changed the auger motor last weekend and pulled the auger out and cleaned it. The bearings of the auger seemed to be good. Stove was working fine throughout the week, but has stopped once again. Could a faulty combustion or distribution blower prevent the auger from turning? Is there something else that could prevent the auger from feeding pellets?

Thank you for your input.

Faulty vacuum switch, or lack of vacuum caused by leaky door or hopper gasket, or blocked or dirty exhaust passages.

The cleanliness of the inside passages of the stove and exhaust vent are paramount with the operation of the vacuum switch. If the nooks and crannies are full of ash it cannot make enough vacuum to close the switch. Get your manual and check the section on maintenance and cleaning, give the stove a good thorough clean out. Check all your vac switch hose ends and make sure they arent cracked. Clean the port on the stove side that the hose hooks to. If a good cleaning doesn’t work we can go from there.
