Just wondering what the prices are going for....here in CT I have paid $285-300/ton and have went through 2 tons in my Avalon Astoria so far this year. Let me know what you paid and if you found them cheaper near central CT. Thanks!

Right now Delaware has pellets for between 278 - 335 a ton. These are through local stove stores or Southern States for premium pellets. I haven't counted Home Depot or Lowes as I'm not sure that they even have any. Someone told me a new grocery store was selling by the bag for 7.00. That's crazy in my opinion. Come April I'll be able to order Hamer's and OMalley's for 210/ton in unlimited quantities.

$300/ton in central MA. Last week, I burned $8/day in pellets to save $4.38 in heating oil... Admittedly, the basement is 77-78 degrees and toasty (rather than 67)...

Good thing I'm a pyro.

I haven't seen them much cheaper anywhere in New England. I should have a hair over two tons left at the end of the season. If prices don't come back to $225 or less, I think I'll be all done with the pellet game. I've had it with the roller coaster pricing over all these years.

I paid $289 for a ton of Energex, picked up last week in Bangor, Maine. My first 2 tons were Corinth Pellets @ $255/ton.

I have picked up a few bags to try here and there at Lowe's, Home Depot, and Wal Mart. All were about $6/bag. I can't seem to not buy them if I see a kind I haven't tried before. Yesterday I got 2 bags of Rocky Mountain from HD for $5.97/bag. First time I've seen a clear bag of pellets, and with a handle!

I paid @ $250 a ton last summer (5 Tons). I have just over 2 tons left. I hoping to get another 5 tons in May for the same if not less. Oil in my area is @ 2.29 per gallon and I think it should be @ 2.25 by summer.

Hey Mike141 I just purchased a ton of Lignetics hardwood pellets at Squire lumber in Monson Ma for $269.00 ton and they do have delivery available.

R Supply in Fallon NV. had Forest Fuel on sale when We bought our stove 2 weeks ago for 219 per ton. They are at their normal price now of 249 per ton. They also carry Golden Fire for 259 per ton. The Golden fire are supposed to be really good, but I have to say, both of these have been good in our new stove, and at 219 per ton, I think the Forest Fuel pellet was the way to go. We have cleaned the stove one time per the Harman owners manual after 5 bags of each. It did not seem that dirty. We have also tried a couple bags each of Home Depot and Lowes pellets for 5.08 and 5.04 per bag here in Reno/Sparks. These are Blazer and Eureka respectively. I don't have enough experience to be a good judge, but everything seems to burn good in this stove.

dang, yesterday i paid $329 for a ton. about the only place around that had any, and they were 20 miles away. add $35 for delivery, and i paid $364.

we also got 100 gallons of oil a month ago, that was $3.19/gallon. i just can't win, why the hell are prices so high here? you guys all suck!

Because, that's why Barrett.

Pellets are every price from $280 to $350 depending around here. I haven't bought any ton level loads lately so I have no idea about large amounts.

I have been burning these rocky mountains for about 3 weeks now and i have to say i am impressed. Not only does the glass stay nice and clean (4 days burning and only a slight white film on glass) there is much less ash in the stove and they smell great!! inside and out. The handle is also a nifty idea. They put out the heat and seem to burn cleaner. The bag is also heavy duty so they can be man handled without ripping open. They are pricey at 5.35 a bag but what can one do.

I give them 4 stars!!!

Hi, I just bought 2 tons of Lignetics from Eastern Ct Pellets-$299/ton, with 100 for delivery. The guy has been really nice, got back to me quickly, as I had many questions after searching through this site. They would've been delivered today-but "Jeff" called to say his truck had gone off the road, so he had to reschedule. Only had the stove less than 2 yrs (ie less than 2 full heating seasons) so I am limited in my experience not only with the pellets but with the companies.
But thanks to all for your info on this site!

Do you have something against these pellets you posted 2 xs in a row as to your dislike of them. Why don't you explain "why" you do not care for then instead of "HORRIBLE".

I thought they were great, "NO" fines in the bag, cool handle for carring, burned great lots of heat, clean glass, low ash, stove easy to clean. What's not to like???

$185/ton, local farmer set up a mill less than 5 minutes from where I work. He's got a vending machine, no sh*t! Hit the cash machine, go to the farm, feed a few $20's in, bulk pellets or corn ($150/ton), auger them into the bulk sack in back of the Yukon. I've been meaning to take some photos every time I go, next time I'll bring the camera because you will not believe it without picts. Way too cool set up, apologies to you guys in the nor-east for posting this!

$5.98 a bag for Blazers @ HD in south central Connecticut. Price hasn't changed all season.
