I am installing a stainless liner kit and would like to know if I need special heat resistant concrete when I patch around the short stainless connector pipe that connects to the tee . Or can I use any type concrete/sand mix that the hardware store sells? The wall is concrete block.

Thanks

If your pipe is double walled you could use a port land sand mix .1 two2.5 mix .If its going to get hot you should get a heat resistant shrink resistant cement .

I used a high temp furnace cement.
Comes in a tub for about $5.00
Dries rock hard and is used in high temperature situations.
Have had no problems with it.
