Any one know what model jotul this is? I have one I'd like to sell locally, but would like more information to give to potential buyers. I know it's a parlor stove, holds 16" logs, and has 3 legs. Beyond that I'm stumped.

Thanks all, in advance.

Question for the webmaster: Why aren't image tags allowed? I tried hotlinking the photo and it didn't show up in the preview.

They called it a Jotul #4 CombiFire because the door will slide under the stove for open door burning.

There are knockoffs of it on the used market also.

I guess mine is the combifire model #1, based upon pictures from an earlier thread.

It's a great stove, but didn't put out enough heat. Maybe I'll keep it and use it as a patio or deck stove. It should work great for that.

RE: Image tags....probably because that would allow for folks to link to ANY image on the net, and you can just imagine the possible results.....

Uploading at least restricts the size and indicates that it is a pic you have stored on your computer.

If it does not say Jotul on it clearly, then it is not a Jotul - but a knock-off. I can't tell from the pic.

Are you a collector? The other stoves to the right and left look cool!

It's a jotul, says so on the back.

The guy we bought it from spent a pretty penny buying it new.

Funny the 404 cookstove is on the rare list. Remeber what a hot seller that was during y2k? they reintroduced it just for that year.

It was rare until then!

They built a couple thousands - although they sold slower than they wanted them to. I sometimes thought of buying one just for a collection - or a piece of furniture. Maybe someone had one laying around I can steal (for a deal).

Well, I'm pretty close to worcester, and could be pressed into selling mine. Though, now I'm thinking it would make a great outdoor "fireplace".
