I bought my St Croix Hastings Stove in Mid-January 09 and the dealer included 1.2 tons of pellets. They are in a clear bag and say "Premium Wood Pellets Made In Canada" on the bag. They are a light golden color and burn a little hotter than the Fireside Ultra that I have been picking up by the bag recently from my local Home Depot. Any thoughts on what they are?

I saw those at my local true value. They had those and Lignetics. The Canadian pellets look like they are a good quality pellet. I'll be trying some out if Springtime doesn't show up real quick!

My stove came with a few bags of pellets in a clear bag. They were Granules...Softwood. I liked them!

odds are pretty good that if they came from Canada that they are softwood. Ask your dealer

Hey Hawl..... That is the brand name of your pellets. Premium Pellet Co. They are out of BC Canada. Softwood pellets. Not a bad pellet.

Hey, I've been looking around to find out if anyone new about this pellet as I was having some nervousness for the upcoming winter having just bought 3 tons of them. Price was right. $159 compared with $199 for Armstrongs, or $219 for NIEL. This is good news that someone has heard of them and thinks they are ok. I started wondering after I got them home if I had done the right thing. Just wondering why they are so much cheaper... :blank:
