No dispute, the fan on the floor thing works wonders, but has anyone done any experiments to find out what cfm fan works the best?
And fan blade size?

A larger blade fan run on low speed is the quietest. I use a 12" table fan that is almost silent at low speed. No idea of the cfms, but it's significant.

Yep, and I also think that the area of the room will come into play as well. More area - more air - more cfm to keep it moving.
