Hey guys any suggestions I've tried both in the past but not in 2012-13
Last years stove chow burned very hot for me and the firesides had alot of toothpicks in the bag but otherwise ok last year, but i can scoop up either for cheap any votes and why! Thanks

Have not tried this year's Chow, but my stove is loving the Firesides.

FSU burned decent for me(nice heat and ash isn't excessive). No chows around here this season to compare. Both pellets are made by Energex.

stove chow was horrible for me , will be returning 5 out of 8 bags

incomplete burn and resulting very high ash level in the burn pot (i had to scoop out the still glowing 1-1/2" thick poo poo pile of unburnts out of the pot 2 times in 30hrs), low heat , low density , lots of fines and dust , corners of all bags had small holes

ymmv

have'nt come across the firesides

have omalley in there right now and they seem to have about the same ash as lignetics w/ similar heat

hamers rocked

ligs were very good

in my setup that is

still trying pellets but i may get a ton this week

after i try the bag of newp that is and see how they work

for me it is cost/burn quality/ash/heat ratio

i like to run 2 bags then shutdown , clean , repeat

new to this but already learned that a more expensive bag of pellets may be cheaper in the long run as the burn time changes due to where i can set my stove as far as feed rate vs heat produced , as well as being cleaner

40 buck spread 'tween the omalley and ligs for me w/ the newp in the middle

hamers are another 35

tried the cheat rivers also but for the same money as omalleys, nah

ramble over
