Yesterday, Friday 19th, we ended up with over 18" of heart attack snow! Yup, just when things were looking up...you know, the highways and even the side roads were bare...a lot of the rooves in the area had barely any snow at all on them...the robins had been back for about 2 weeks. And then-BAM! All schools in the area were closed including the community college (even closed the campus) local businesses and financial (banks credit unions etc) closed early...visibilty was so bad that at a few times you couldn't see 20 feet!!Nothing but wind and white! Overnight low actually dipped below zero-just barely. Good thing is that today the sun is out and supposed to be close to 30f. Any storm this late in the year usually cleans up (melts) quite quickly due to the higher elevation of the sun. There is a chance of rain during the daytime over the next three days S-M-T. That should knock down the snow alot. Maybe, just maybe, I'll have some bare spots in the yard by next weekend...maybe!

Ouch!
Next thing will be, when it melts fast with the rain, the flooding <>

Stay dry !

Hey Yooper, don't put the shovel away yet! For sure it is not good to get it this time of the year. Fortunately we got only enough to make things white. That wind was terrible.
