Where buy Husqvarna 550 XP?

My understanding is that it is Husqvarna policy not to sell professional (XP) saws over the internet.

You might find a saw repair/modifying shop that will sell a used one to you.

What do you mean by "very expensive"? $$$$$$?
 
My apologies for not being clear. I meant that when you buy online, it's not the same process as clicking to buy and having it shipped to your door. You need to call the store; therefore, it is not an online transaction. Shipping is another issue, as there are restrictions on shipping Husqvarna pro saws and international shipments.

Give one of those stores a call and they'll explain it.

Wow, you have to be kidding, I paid $529 for a 550XPG model, but there was sales tax of 6 3/4%.

I can see the international shipping restraints, but not the online part. I ordered a 550xp from Alamia.us. Never talked to them once, just clicked what I wanted, filled out credit card info and it was at my door a few days later. $530 shipped as advertised on their website. It does say "for US market only" under the "free shipping" logo. Maybe they are still breaking Husqvarna's rules, mine was a 100% online transaction on a pro saw from them.
 
I also bought my saw from Alamia. (346xp), very happy with the all online transaction . I wonder if you could use someone here in the US (friends, family) to buy that saw for you and then ship it to you. Perhaps even if they tax it , you may still come out ahead.
 
Shipping, VAT and import duty, can not see it adding up.
 
I will go to poland this summer for some work. I will buy a saw there.

It is strange that a saw made i sweden cost less when it shipped to an other country...
I guess it some carbon tax on it. Like everting else here :mad:

One politian here had an ide on a carbon tax on cows farting.;hm
