Which one of these used stoves would be best?

Hi all, with your help I was able to install a stainless liner/block off plate and install an older smoke dragon insert. It sure heats well, but it is not efficient and needs to be constantly monitored. I have only had it installed about a month and I am already looking for a newer EPA replacement. Money is tight and I'm trying to use as little oil as possible. I would like a decent stove that will burn overnight. Our house is a single floor pretty open 1000sq ft ranch. If possible I would like to mount the stove in the fireplace like an insert but I don't mind not having a surround. It is a real masonry fireplace built in the 50's with now a stainless 6" insulated liner. Here are some stoves I found on craigslist. The first is a lopi answer I left two messages but have not heard back

the next one(olsberg) I could not find any info on but it does look nice- I don't know if it's EPA or has secondary burn?

the third is brand new and I'm sure it can be had cheaper than asking price. It looks like overstock and there are pallets of them. Any info?

The Lopi Answer is a well made and strong little stove. The price is certainly right. I would persist with that one first. The second stove is an Olesberg Bristol. I almost bought that model when I got the Jotul F3CB. It looks like a decent, shallow firebox stove. I have the manual for it still. Offer $300 if the interior is still in excellent condition. The last stove looks like a South American cheapy. I don't know anything about it.

I will send another message about the lopi. Is the olesberg an EPA stove? Is it catalytic or does it have secondary combustion? It is much nicer looking which would please the wife. The third one says El fuego waterbury ct on the crate, so I don't think it foreign. It looks like the company was bought out and these might be old stock. That Fuego looks like a private label Century stove - or Haughs or similar.

It could be EPA - being as it's new, there is most definitely a label on it and probably a manual inside it.

Have you searched with www.searchtempest.com or if you have a smart phone Craigslist pro app. I find a lot of deals on Craig list pro

Yes it's an EPA listed clean burner. It has a full secondary combustion rack with 3 tubes.

I talked to the guy about the olsberg. I might go check it out. He is supposed to send more pictures. It's odd I can't find any pictures or even the manual online. It is a nice looking stove.

El Fuego Corporation went out of business a while ago. Its intellectual assets were bought by a company doing business as Fuego Flame, Inc. Those stoves might be leftover stock from the original company. I cannot find any reference to the stoves on any EPA documentation, application, or cross reference tables. Before I bought one I would want to inspect it and see what the label, if any, on the stove says and if the manual refers to any clean burning technology.

You might also consider a brand new Englander from Home Depot, like the 1800 sf model for $650 -- use a Lowe's coupon for 10% off = $585. Or wait til the end of the season and shoot for a closeout deal that's even cheaper.
