Whitfield Profile 30 insert auger too slow (Update)

Pulled out the auger cleaned and used high temp grease on upper and lower bushings. Pulled the gear box apart and cleaned it out. the main thing that seems to be wrong is the motor has a lot of free play made a teflon spacer to go over the armeture shaft and take out some of the slop and oiled the bushings. Reinstalled everything in the stove has ran for five hours now hoping that was it. The gear box seems really well built, but the motor on top of it seems to be much lighter duty. Are there replacement parts for just the motor or does the complete assembly have to be purchased?

Just trying to figure out this stove. Purchased the stove used and got it installed in the house and fired up with out any serious issues. The stove lights up great and runs great for about 30 to 45 min then it seems that the augur motor either stops or goes so slow that it does not feed enough to fuel the fire. I have closed the vent almost all the way to slow the burn rate down and even tried to up the feed rate on the callibration to the highest setting. When the flame goes out it goes into a fault mode, if i turn it off and relight it again it works fine again for about 30 min then does it again. The controller is sending power to the auger as shown on a meter at the test points on the front of the panel. Is there something i am doing wrong with running this? It does not seem to matter what feed rate you select it will run about the same amount of time. You can watch the pile in the grate just slowly go down until it wont stay lit and it goes out. Any help on this would be great.

it uses a dumb photo eye

Thanks for the replies on this. I pulled the auger and motor out of the stove as after about 30 min it was getting lazy even though it was getting signal from the control it was not moving. Cleaned and greased the upper and lower bushings on the auger then cleaned the gear box up as well. The main problem is i believ the motor on the gear box had too much movement there was no fiber washer on it that I have read about and you could see that the armeture had been rubbing on the stator. I made a teflon shim to take out the movement. It has been running for three days now but the motor really seams to get hot. I have to keep the air damper most all the way closed or it still will burn faster then the auger will feed the fuel. This is with the callibration adjusted all the way up so not sure but the motor might just be week on it. Going to limp it along as long as i can before i buy a new one.

You should buy a new one as soon as you can . It will be getting colder soon and you could be left with no heat .

Ok thanks I will see what I can find for a new auger motor. I was reading that there was some people using the gleason motors. They are a pretty good price just not sure what one to get for the whitfield that would be a replacement one. Anyone know the specs on the MK motor used in the whitfield Profile 30'S? I am pretty sure it is a 1RPM motor that is CW from the shaft side.
