I've been looking for a good wire brush to clean Harman heat exchangers.Would like to have a wire brush like a 4 to 6 inch wide with a handle ,like a paint brush with wire.Need it mainly to use when I hot clean,,,I've looked on the net and all the box stores but haven't found exactly what I need ...

Well, not wire, but some toilet bowl brushes are pretty stiff.

Similar to what chrisassist said, get a nylon parts cleaning brush from any auto store. Looks like a big, round paint brush with stiff, durable bristles and wood handle.

I think the op is wanting to scrape the heat exchangers while running so nylon or plastic brushes are out.

Get a barbecue brush, I have one that is a triangle on the the end. All wire bristles, with a long handle to boot, should work perfect!

Obviously, a synthetic bristle won't work and I suspect the commenters did't read your post...lol

I'd stop at a local welding supply store and buy a short wire brush for cleaning welds. The come typically in 4-6" lengths in a variety of bristles, all metal of course. Couple bucks at most.

Thanks all.I'II check the welding supply places and grilling places.Needs to have a long curved handle or T shaped.

I use a stainless steel hand scrubbie...
I can feel any bumps or deposits lot better without having to look inside.
