i have a VC and the wood seems to burn rather quickly (all red oak)
I think the door gaskets need to be replaced
My ques is what else could make the wood burn to fast so i no what to check out
Also when i have decent amount of wood in the stove and it flaming alot
It seems to me that the flames shoot right above the baffles and fiber board and up the chimney

I think you answered your own question, have you done the dollar bill test on the door gaskets? To me at least you are describing an air leak. Do you have an ash pan? If you make sure there isn't a piece of coal holding it partially open.
