Rookie question: Can I simply run a 6" triple wall SS stove pipe vertically straight up 30ft (basement thru roof) and still be compliant with the IRC code? House in Georgia. Thanks in advance. (reference Progress Hybrid Model 209a)

Yes, as long as the clearance is honored and firestopped at each ceiling penetration. At the bottom ceiling it transitions to stove pipe which has separate clearance requirements. Note that in many jurisdictions the chimney pipe will need to be chased (enclosed) is it is in a living space.
