Looks like a company is buying the vacant Madison Maine papermill to make a wood fiber insulation not manufactured in the US. The company buying the place also got a grant for $750,000 for the project. I haven't found any good links specific to this project but did find this domain with an Italian product that looks pretty interesting.

There is lot of focus on rebuilding the forest industry in Maine. There are a couple of abandoned mill sites and an underutilized market for low grade wood.
 
Wonder if they saturate in borax before pressing into panels?
