I have an Orlan eko 40 with a rk2001u controller. The "start" tactile switch is going bad. I called New Horizons and it appears that they are out of business or being sold.
Does anyone have a fix to this issue.

Does it come apart like a key fob button? Maybe you can clean it. If not, that keypad would need to be changed. See if there is a part number. You might be able to use another one if you can match it.

New Horizons is out of business. I purchased a new RK2001U from P.W
Key in Poland to replace my defective unit. Does anyone have any experience with swapping the new for the old. I am just going to swap the wires in the same sequence as the existing broken controller.

What is PW? I have 2 New Horizon Biomass 60 boilers, looking for controllers and firebox liners. Also in NH, Milton. Any ideas? My email is tom@nhtrailers.com;

Key in Poland

Is P.W. Key located in Poland

@TomMurtagh

My controller (RK-2001U) also went out and I want to replace it.
I tried to buy of the KEY PW site mentioned above, but it appears that they will not ship it to the US (only Poland).
Does anyone have any other locations or ideas to purchase this replacement controller?
Going on 14 years with my NextGen BioMass 60.
Thanks!
C

I have been looking at this RK-2001U, UA, AT, AT2 issue trying to see if I could find something online that would help you guys out. After about 2 hours of research, I just found the only solution out there. That solution is to contact the company that manufactured the wood furnace and ask them what to use as a replacement.

If all you guys check with the companies that made the furnaces then one of them is bound to have a solution. Why it can't be found on the internet confuses me.

The only other possible solution is to have PW Key ship to someone in Poland and then have them ship it to the US or wherever. Sounds like an expensive proposition. There has to be another way.

Bob,

Didn't you state earlier in the thread that PW Key shipped you one?

There are freight-forwarding companies who offer this service. I have customers who use them all of the time to order stuff from me and have it shipped overseas.

The problem that most people are going to run into that are asking in this thread is that Orlan has shuttered operations (also were in Poland), and the U.S. company that was supplying parts for them also closed down. So, there is no one to really contact at this point.

I've yet to find another wood boiler manufacturer that uses/used the RK-2001U controllers. Probably is one out there, but I haven't found them yet.

Thanks for all of the info so far that you've offered up!

I'm going to contact P.W. Key and see if they will ship to the U.S. directly. If they will but have a minimum buy to do so ('X' units..), I may see if people want to do a group buy as it seems that there are several people who need them. If they won't, I may look into a freight-forwarding company and attempt the same. It would save in shipping to order several at once, and if people are interested I can set it up through my business. I may even buy a few extra for both myself and to offer some up for sale for people in the future who are surely going to need them.

For future knowledge going forward, they have the manual on their site for RK2001Us with schematics. It *may* have to be translated via Google Translate which I have installed on my Firefox browser, but I downloaded it from here: https://pwkey.eu/oferta/instrukcje/RK-2001W-ENG_9A15.pdf

I've also attached it to this post in what *should* be an English version of the download.

Hopefully this will be of use to someone in the future.

No, that wasn't me. The last poster that tried to get one from PW Key @cincyfire said they wouldn't ship to the US.

The last time someone was able to get one was posted by @Schatzsea1 in September, Post #3.

In my research, I've seen that there has been issues getting replacement controllers for quite awhile (years). As you mentioned with the last US based companies having closed down.

I'm really surprised that someone hasn't come up with a solution of a controller swap/ fab that will work.

This idea is what I am trying. I will let you know if we are successful. Thanks for looking into it.
