I picked up a trailer load of rounds of some sort of softwood. Smeels like household cleaner when fresh split. Moisture metered at 18% right out of the round. I'm not sure if it was standing dead or not. There is a little borer damage.

The rounds are monstrous, btw.

Hey Chris, just curious do you have a compost site down there that you can get wood from like we do up here in Emmaus?

I haven't been down to the lake in years...I'll have to go down there sometime soon. Real nice place.... Back in the early 80's in my drinking days, we used to go fishing (and drinking) down there in the evening. We were there on night in the dark, and I had my Mustang door open with "Born to be wild" BLASTING....something told me I better shut it down, and right after I did this truck comes barreling into the parking lot with a searchlight scanning the area, and when the guy came out we told him "yeah, some teenagers were here and they left", and he said "it figures, it's prom night!" So we got away with that one ==c !!! <>

BOTH my Mustang and my drinking days are long, long gone. Now I'm a boring sober old man of nearly 55....;lol

Woodsman - The only compost site that I know of is by the Turnpike exit on 663.... Trumbaursville/Spinnerstown.

And I have quite a few catfish/beer stories, as well. I'm 2 miles from the bridge on 563 with the 100 foot drop, if you know it.
