Hi all. Just moved to Maine and I'm getting back into the swing of wood burning. The house we bought had about 6-8 cord of unprocessed wood in the property and I'm trying to identify it. Thinking (hoping) this is White Oak. Thanks for the help.

Looks a lot like white oak to me.

Thanks. I have quite a bit to process over the winter. Looks like it's been down for a while but in 4-6ft lengths so it's not quite ready for this season.

I'm gonna go the other direction and say the bark and grain look more like red oak.

Looks like red oak to me.
