Any idea on this one? What leaves i saw were spade shaped and serrated edges. Lots of twig sprouts growing from bigger limbs. Very fragrant as well.

Looks like one of the Hickory trees to me, those rounds just LOOK heavy!! Should smell a little like manure. Great fuel wood!!

+1 for hickory
Bark is right for bitternut hickory (Carya cordiformis).
Any buds still remaining ? Bitternut will have characteristic sulfur-yellow buds.
 
I'd say pignut or bitternut hickory. Bitternut is my first guess.
