I stacked the wood I cut and split thed other day and noticed I had something other than oak and maple in that scrounge. Some of the smaller peices I split were light so I assumed they were a little more seasoned. I would assume since its light when seasoned its not a high btu wood. Almost looks like cherry but its definately different from the other cherry I have.
