What a good hard wood pellets have quadfire classic bay 1200
Why hardwood? Hardwood pellets are not better...I burn softwood. There is a brand I found from southern pine down there but now I'd have to look it up....

Buy 4 or 5 bags of what is available where you live
See which one works for you
I use Cubex 100% hardwood and Fusion Blend 80% hardwood
Both from a wood flooring mill in Quebec, Canada

Each stove reacts differently to pellet quality. I have an old Whitfield Quest and it prefers a high quality low as softwood pellet. I gtmm my et low ash, high heat, and little buildup on the glass.

Try multiple bags of different pellets and decide what trade offs you are willing to make.

This, right here. My P61a LOVES hardwoods and dislikes high percentage, or 100% softies. If the OP's question is purely on heat output, these are what I've measured the air output from my P43 to be for the brands I've tried (note, GS has two different HWs and they are not the same).

Also, the Cubex and Fusion produced little ash while both GS had more ash (the Midwesterns are actually as ashy as mid-priced blends)
