So I got bored today.. I recently added on to my shop and had a bit of leftover new material and some old bits and pieces. The shed is outside the door of my shop so is loaded with “ready to burn wood”. My concern is it’s covered on all sides except for the front. We get a fair bit of moisture here in the winter so I’d like to keep it as dry as possible. I’ll be burning in an epa stove and I’ve read how finicky they are if the wood is “wet” lol... anyhow, this is my little shed. I have 8 acres so I can season wood elsewhere, this will be loaded for easy access when I’m burning, do/should I worry about covering the front to keep rain/snow out or just let it ride? Thanks... I’m loving this forum!

I think the prevailing wind is a big factor here. It looks as though you have a bit on an overhang on the front which could do the trick depending on your winds.

Thanks.. the wind typically comes outta the west which would be the left side of the structure, my shop is directly in front of the shed about 10’ away... if I’m gonna cover it I don’t wanna go the blue tarp route, maybe a thick vinyl cover...if anything

Nice job, I have 4 ten foot pallets that I want to use as a base for what you just built. I wouldn't worry about moisture with that overhang and the wind direction, should be fine as is.

Cool thanks! I debated using pallets but had this material on hand, I would have went the pallet route if I had a pile
