Question:
Has anyone ever used the small fans that sit on top of your woodstove and use the heat from the stove to circulate air. The one that I saw says that it moves 100 cubic feet of air per minute which seems like a lot for such a small fan. I don't want to waste my money on some gimmick if it doesn't work all that well.
Answer:
Depends on the stove and how hot the top gets. If you have a radiant stove (single wall top) it should surely be able to move the heat nicely. You might want to ask the maker about the output at difference temperatures. Anything over 50 CFM is a good help to natural convection.
