Hey there,

Please excuse any ignorance as I know next to nothing about this; looking to have this stove ID'd (new home purchase) and wondering specifically about the rod underneath, which I assume is a damper - it simply pushes in and out but I'm not sure what is closed or open! No super noticable change in ventilation in either configuration. Any expertise appreciated!

Your stove was made by Oliver Macleod Limited. You can see that at the bottom of the tag. I think the tag also has the model number, but it is hard to read in that image.

I didn't find much online about Oliver Macleod stoves, though.
