Hello all
We are installing a Rais Q TEE wood stove in a new building in BC, Canada. The stove is available in a number of different base options globally but here we can only buy it with a 15" pedestal. The stove just sits on top of the included pedestal with adjustable legs. We are planning to lift it off the included pedestal and place it on our new custom one which is a wider 'box' made of thick steel plate at the same height.

My question is can I place the stove on a raised pedestal that is custom built? Is there any WETT rule that prohibits this as long as all clearance requirements are meet?

Kind regards

Technically it is probably safe, but that doesn't mean it will pass Canadian code because it is untested. Will it be bolted to the pedestal? Have you contacted Rais for their blessing?
