Through Google Zeitgeist you can search for historical trending of search phrases. I thought it would be interesting to see how the terms wood stove and pellet stove vary through the seasons and years. Unsurprisingly for the US (though the trend was little different for the world including southern hemisphere), the searches ramp up in the fall. I think that it's interesting that the peak of searches is September time, rather than Nov/Dec, and that this year's searches are lower than last - I would have thought that the rebate would have upped the search volume, but I suppose the cost of oil balances that out.

Play with the results here: Google Zeitgiest

How about other search terms?

I must confess, sorry, I am responsible for the 2005-2006 spike. Jotul searching. :red: :-P

Actually, isn't that when Hearth.com introduced the forum from the old format?
