Question:

Thanks for replying. I just have one more question. I think I like the soapstove. Is it true that they burn more wood than the other two stoves. Also the Soapstove does not have a damper just a single air flow control. Do I really need a flue damper or not? Thank you...

Answer:

If the soapstone is EPA tested and has an efficiency rating, then this is the key to it's wood use. As far as dampers, the one on the intake is fine..in fact, it makes a stove easier to use. since you donÕ´ have to worry about the settings of two dampers.
